Teenager stole 239 coins

A teenager in rural Shanghai stole 239 coins from swing machines in a residential complex early on Wednesday morning, police said yesterday. The suspect, surnamed Zhu, was punished with five days’ detention but was exempted from undertaking it because he was under 16 years old, police in Nanhui town, Pudong, said.
Zhu was caught by police trying to pry open a parked car and was found to be carrying a large amount of coins.
