two suspected thieves were caught in a cab on Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, and loot worth 200,000 yuan (US$32,770) seized, Jiading police said yesterday. The pair aroused suspicions when police stopped the cab for a check. Officers found about 70,000 yuan in cash, plus jewelry and watches in a bag. Police said the men admitted thefts in Xuhui District and were fleeing to Kunshan City in Jiangsu Province.
