Tipping death charge

A TRUCK driver who killed a boy when he tipped 10 tons of earth over him on a dock has been arrested on a charge of manslaughter, the Minhang District Prosecution Office said yesterday. Prosecutors said the suspect, surnamed Guo, was tipping the earth on July 21 when a passer-by rushed to tell him the debris had covered a boy. At first Guo thought he was joking but then realized what had happened and called the emergency services. The boy, whose age was not revealed, was found dead at the scene.
