Traffic restrictions in place for the float parade

Some areas of downtown Shanghai will be closed for traffic on Friday and Saturday for the Shanghai Tourism Festival’s float parade. No vehicles will be allowed along a portion of Huaihai Road M. between Xizang Road S. and Chongqing Road S. from 9:30pm on Friday to 2am on Saturday, according to the Shanghai Public Security Bureau.
The portion of Huaihai Road M. from Huangpi Road S. and Shaanxi Road S. will also be off limits for vehicles from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday.
Cars will not be allowed on Huaihai Road from 7:30pm on Saturday, except for the intersection of Huaihai Road and Shaanxi Road S.
Longmen Road, a stretch connecting Huaihai Road M. and Jinling Road M., will be closed to vehicles.
Traffic will be restricted on other downtown thoroughfares, including Liulin, Pu’an, Taoyuan and Wangting roads.
