Two women, a man and fostering fees
TWO women were in a local court yesterday, seeking fostering fees for their children - from the same man.
The plaintiffs said they had each signed children support agreements with Wang Huailin, a Zhejiang Province businessman, but Wang failed to keep his promise and had disappeared.
The women asked the Xuhui District People's Court to order Wang, 41, to fulfil his obligations.
Wang agreed to pay 800,000 yuan (US$118,306) to support a daughter and a son he had with Zhang Haiqin and pay 1.32 million yuan as fostering fee for a son he had with Liu Weilan.
Wang, though legally unmarried, was also accused of having sexual relationship with several more women.
He didn't show up for the hearing yesterday, though his lawyer attended.
The plaintiffs said they both cohabited with Wang for a period of time. Zhang, 31, an Anhui Province native, had a daughter, now four, and a son, aged one, with Wang, and Liu, 27, a Chongqing Municipality native, bore him a son, who is now six months old.
After the two women came to know of each other's existence, they forced Wang to sign individual children support agreements. But he soon did the disappearing act.
"I wanted an abortion but Wang persuaded me to give birth to the child and promised to marry me," Liu told the court. "I didn't expect him to be such an immoral man."
Wang's lawyer admitted that Wang didn't have a stable income and could not pay such high fostering fees.
