Wife goes to police after husband killed

A 26-year-old Shanghai resident turned herself in to police after her 31-year-old husband was strangled late Sunday night at their home in Putuo District.
The woman, surnamed Chen, went to a police station about 11pm and claimed she had a fierce quarrel with the husband which turned physical, before she killed him at the Lotus residential complex on Zhenbei Road, said police.
Officers found the body of the man in the bathroom.
The incident was caused by issues in their relationship, it was claimed.
According to neighbors, the couple had quarreled a lot after moving in.
Police had been involved in their disputes in the past, and relatives had been called to help mediate, it was claimed.
