Woman almost gives birth on street after surfing at Internet bar

YANGPU District Public Security Bureau issued a bulletin on its Weibo account today saying a young woman almost gave birth to a child on the street when her water broke after she was surfing the Web at a local Internet bar.

The 24-year-old woman was four weeks from her due date when her water broke after leaving the bar in the wee hours of Saturday. Police rushed to the scene after being notified and called an ambulance to send the woman to nearby Xinhua Hospital.

Since the woman was unable to answer questions due to pain, police went to the Internet bar to get her ID information. Based on the information, police found the woman’s family and called them to the hospital.

She delivered a premature baby boy on Saturday morning and both mother and son are in stable condition.
