Woman hugs elderly men only to steal gold necklaces

A woman who flirted with two elderly men and stole their gold necklaces worth nearly 15,000 yuan (US$2,370) was sentenced to four years and three months in prison for theft, the Huangpu District People's Court said today.
Prosecutors said An Ping, 33, targeted elderly men taking a stroll alone in the park or in a food market and warmed up to them through chitchat.
Last June, An dated a retiree surnamed Wang and removed his gold necklace when hugging him. Two months later she played the same trick and stole a gold necklace from another man, the court heard.
He Shang, An's boyfriend, was sentenced to four years for being an accomplice in her thefts, the court ruled.
