A farmer, surnamed Pan, has been sentenced to 10 and a half years in prison for swindling more than 280,000 yuan (US$42,489) by promising to introduce the victims to work abroad, the Pudong New Area People's Court said yesterday.
Pan, 48, used photographs she took when she traveled to the United Arab Emirates to entice victims between October 2004 to April 2009.
