Han Zheng meets Australian guests

Shanghai Party Secretary Han Zheng met New South Wales State Premier Mike Baird from Australia and his delegation on September 4.
Han congratulated on the success of the financial round table conference between Shanghai and New South Wales State.
Han briefed on the development of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, particularly its financial reforms, to the guests.
Han said that the opening up and innovation in finance is one of the key tasks for FTZ, which is an experimental zone for China to further expand its opening and the liberalization of yuan will be focused.
He said FTZ will balance the reforms and risks by establishing financial risk control systems. The reform of FTZ will go forward step by step to contribute more to China’s reforms.
Han also hoped that Shanghai and the Aussie state, an Australian economic center, will expand cooperation since the two sides have made wide exchanges in fields of trade, science and technology, education and culture.
Baird said that the New South Wales is paying close attention to the construction of FTZ. The state is keen to seize this opportunity to be actively involved in the construction of FTZ particularly in financial reforms and the city of Sydney is also eager to play a more important role in the liberalization of yuan.
