Han Zheng talks with Honeywell chairman
为企业发展营造更好环境 韩正会见美国霍尼韦尔公司董事长

SHANGHAI Party Secretary Han Zheng met David M. Cote, chairman and CEO of Honeywell yesterday. He said Shanghai is soliciting suggestions from all sides to create good environment for enterprises and talented people from around the world to join the city’s development into a global innovation center.

Han said that innovation can drive economic growth. Good inventions are well received by the people. Shanghai listens to suggestions from companies, research institutions and universities at home and abroad as it tries to develop into a global innovation center.

The Party chief spoke highly of Honeywell’s future-oriented product research and development. He pledged continued efforts to improve investment environment for Honeywell and other companies in Shanghai.

Cote said Honeywell pays close attention to Shanghai’s endeavor to become a global innovation center. He hopes his company can expand cooperation with Shanghai in technology research and development.

Pudong-registered Honeywell (China) Investment Ltd has been upgraded from a regional headquarters into the global headquarters for high-growth markets. Honeywell plans to invest additional US$100 million in its R&D facility in the city’s Zhangjiang High-tech Park.
