Mayor visits Zhangjiang Innovation Zone

Shanghai Mayor Yang Xiong urged Zhangjiang National Innovation Demonstration Zone to improve management and create a better environment for innovation when he visited the zone on Monday.
He said Zhangjiang should build itself into a scientific innovation center with global influence.
Yang also called on the municipal and district governments to fully support development of the zone.
Yang also urged the zone’s administration to find more problems, broaden visions and look for gaps between the zone and world’s advanced innovation parks.
He hoped the zone’s administrators can find new industries and new models and adjust relevant policies to provide strong support to their development.
He said that the zone’s administration should follow the global technological trend to plan the zone, offering resources and public services to companies according to their development demands and create a better innovation environment for entrepreneurs.
Zhangjiang National Innovation Demonstration Zone has 22 branch parks and 124 sub-branch parks by now.
