1 dead as small plane crashes into residential complex

A passenger in a small plane was killed and the pilot injured when their aircraft crashed into a residential complex during a training flight this morning in Shenyang, capital city of Liaoning Province, police said.

The pilot surnamed Zhong was being treated in a hospital.

The plane belonged to a local aviation club and was on a training flight when it crashed at 10:21am.

It was unclear what caused the crash but authorities have not ruled out human error.
