RESCUERS have recovered the bodies of 10 miners killed in a coal mine gas explosion in Yunnan Province yesterday. The blast happened about 5:50am at Chashan Coal Mine in Zhenxiong County, in the city of Zhaotong, while 13 miners were working underground. Three miners were rescued and are recovering in hospital.
Police are investigating and said both Wu Jinggang, the legal representative of the coal mine, and Hu Xianming, chief of the coal mine, had been placed under police surveillance.
