A Taiwan coast guard official said at least one person had been killed and that rescuers were looking for 13 missing Chinese mainland crew members after a Panama-registered ship capsized off the southern Taiwanese coast.
Eleven people have been rescued, all from the mainland.
He said the ship, the Chien Fu Hsing, sent out a distress call yesterday morning during a storm.
