13 years jail for running porn site

A MAN in southern China was sentenced to 13 years' jail for running a pornographic Website, amid a national crackdown on lewd content.
The court in Jiangmen City of Guangdong Province sentenced Huang Yizhong and fined him 100,000 yuan (US$14,645), Xinhua news agency reported yesterday.
Huang pleaded guilty to copying and spreading pornographic material on the Website, which he had run since 2005 using a rented US server, Xinhua said.
Police caught him last July and his trial started on January 6.
According to Xinhua, Huang downloaded more than 1,000 pornographic movies and edited them into video clips for his site. With more than 4,000 paying members, he made nearly US$500,000.
Last year, police caught nearly 5,400 people suspected of involvement in online pornography.
