15 dead in pileups

FIFTEEN people died and another 65 were injured, four of them seriously, in multiple-vehicle pileups on a highway in Hunan Province yesterday morning.
A total of 15 vehicles, including three buses, were involved in pileups in the Doumuhu section of Highway G55 between the cities of Changde and Zhangjiajie, China News Service reported. The icy road is partly to blame, officials said.
