2 Chinese businessmen killed in Salvador air crash
TWO Chinese businessmen were killed on Sunday when a small business jet crashed in a hilly area in Salvador, Yangtze Evening News reported today.
The plane was making a test flight over the airport of Ilopango, a town in central Salvador and crashed ten minutes later near the riverbank of San Jose, 10 kilometers east of San Salvador, the capital city, Salvadorian police said.
All the three people on board were killed, including a pilot, the Yangtze Evening News said.
The two Chinese victims, Li Guoliang and Yu Wenkai, were chairman and general manager of Wuxi Weike Group in Jiangsu Province. They were visiting an assembly plant of Pulsar Aircraft in Salvador whose headquarters are in Canada.
Salvador is the smallest country in Central America bordering with Guatemala and Honduras with many volcanoes.
