2 arrests made over forgotten ketamine

TWO alleged drug traffickers were arrested in October after they left ketamine in a taxi and paid for a radio advert in an effort to recover the narcotics, a report said yesterday.

The two were arrested for drug dealing in Hunan Province, according to Rednet.cn.

They borrowed more than 10,000 yuan (US$1,464) to buy drugs and resell them for profit at nightclubs in Changsha City, capital of Hunan.

When they reached Changsha, they realized they had forgotten their bag, where they hid the ketamine, in a taxi, the report said.

They paid 200 yuan for radio advertisements looking for the lost bag.

The cab driver had opened the bag, found the ketamine and taken it to a police station. Police arrested the suspects at a hostel, the report said.
