2 held over Yunnan drug trafficking
DRUG enforcement officers in southwest China’s Yunnan Province have captured two traffickers, local police sources said yesterday.
One of the suspects was about to be inspected when he rushed through the barrier at a patrol station in Pu’er City.
Drug enforcement officers apprehended him and found 14.4 kilograms of methamphetamine in a bag he was carrying.
In a separate case, a 16-year-old girl was detained in Kunming on Wednesday morning after around 3 kilograms of methamphetamine were found hidden in mooncakes. Police alleged that she had intended to take the drugs to Kunming.
The investigations continue.
