2 suspects arrested over gun attack

TWO suspects in a gun attack have been arrested in Guangdong Province, local police said yesterday, adding that others wanted in the case remain at large.
The incident occurred about 2am on Firday in Zhongtang Town, Dongguan City. The victim, a man surnamed Li, was driving his car on State Highway 107 near Xinhetian Village when two cars came up and blocked his vehicle at the front and rear. Two men shot at Li before fleeing the scene, officers said.
Police launched an investigation and found the suspects hiding in two places. At about 8:15pm yesterday they stormed a hotel and arrested two men, surnamed Peng and Fan. They were found in possession of one pistol and seven bullets, police said. Officers said they admitted to firing the gun shots at Li.
Another police team was shot at while trying to arrest the other suspects in Gaobu Town. The suspects escaped.
