20 chartered flights a day to bring Chinese home
CHINA will send five more chartered flights every day starting tomorrow to pick up Chinese evacuees from Libya.
China Eastern Airlines, Air China, China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines will carry nearly 6,000 Chinese nationals every day in 20 flights from tomorrow to March 10, the Civil Aviation Administration of China said today.
Under the CAAC plan, Air China will send seven planes every day to Crete Island in Greece; China Eastern will send four planes to Malta and one plane to Jarbah in Tunisia; China Southern will send five planes to Tunisia; and Hainan Air will send two planes to Greece and one plane to Egypt.
Two China Eastern planes landed in Shanghai at 12:39pm and 1:43pm today, carrying 558 Chinese evacuees, said the Shanghai-based carrier, which has brought home 1,108 Chinese citizens from Libya.
