ABOUT 200 tourists are safe after being trapped overnight on top of 2,000-meter Huashan Mountain in northwest China’s Shaanxi province.
High winds on Monday night forced the cable car operator to stop running cars up and down the mountain’s west peak.
Photos posted online showed tourists huddled in aisles where passengers wait to board the cable cars. The cars resumed running yesterday morning after the wind had died down.
