2011 holiday calendar released
PEOPLE can start making holiday plans for the upcoming New Year now that the General Office of the State Council has released the 2010 public holiday schedule.
There will be two seven-day holidays, namely the Spring Festival from February 2 and the National Day holiday from October 1.
There are also five three-day holidays: New Year's Day from January 1, Qingming Festival from April 3, Labor Day from April 30, Dragon Boat Festival from June 4, and Mid-Autumn Festival from September 10.
To compensate for some extended holidays, some Saturdays and Sundays will be made workdays. People need to work on January 30, February 12, April 2, October 8 and 9.
