21 dead, 11 injured in highway accident in central China

A total of 21 people died and 11 others were injured on Friday after a collision involving four vehicles on an expressway in central China's Hunan Province, authorities said.

The accident occurred at around 9:50 am on a Hunan section of the highway linking Shanghai and Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, said an official of Hunan.

A bus caught fire after colliding with a truck, causing another two vehicles to collide, the official said.

The number of deaths might be verified through DNA matching.
