21 killed in Guizhou coal mine accident

RESCUERS have recovered 21 bodies from a coal mine where a gas outburst occurred yesterday evening in southwest China's Guizhou Province, the rescuer headquarters said today.

Thirty-one miners were working in a shaft of Yuanyang Colliery when the accident occurred at about 9:40pm in Puding County, Anshun City. Rescuers today confirmed that 10 people had escaped to safety in the accident.
