3 await trial for bribery

THREE former senior officials are awaiting trial on bribery charges, the Supreme People’s Court said yesterday.
They are Chen Anzhong, former deputy director of the provincial legislature in east China’s Jiangxi Province, and two former vice governors — Shen Peiping of southwest China’s Yunnan Province and Guo Youming of central China’s Hubei Province.
Chen is alleged to have intervened in several construction projects. Shen is said to have abused his power in relation to municipal projects. Guo was investigated for alleged involvement in a private enterprise’s bankruptcy in Yichang.
