3 dead in landslide

THREE people died in a landslide that demolished a residential building in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province on Monday, local authorities said.
A woman and two children, a boy and a girl, were found dead in the debris at around 1:55am yesterday. The building in mountainous Maoping Township of Baihe County collapsed after a weekend of heavy rain, local officials said. The seven-story building was home to 39 people from 11 families. A search is underway for three people still missing.
