3 held after 25kg drugs haul

THREE people have been detained on suspicion of trafficking drugs in China’s mainland after police in northwest China’s Gansu Province discovered 25 kilograms of heroin inside a truck.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a search of the vehicle on April 23, while it was en route to Lanzhou, capital of Gansu, from southwest China’s Yunnan Province, which yielded 69 packages of the narcotic. Two people traveling in the vehicle were detained and a third suspect was apprehended later, police said yesterday.
