3 held over theft of gun
THREE men in Guizhou Province have been seized for allegedly assaulting a police officer and stealing his gun.
The Committee of Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China's Liupanshui Committee said officer Chi Zhongyan was assaulted and robbed in Guizhou's Liupanshui City at 2pm on Saturday.
A man called Jin Jin surrendered to police at about 5pm on Monday.
Zhu Yong°?jiang, allegedly one of the other men, surrendered in Guizhou's Zunyi City on Wednesday and Yang Guangjian, allegedly the third man, was caught in Pingba County at about 10:30am on Thursday, Xinhua news agency reported yesterday.
Meanwhile, police in Chongqing Municipality have released pictures of a man wanted for questioning over the fatal shooting of a sentry last month.
A set of six pictures show an average-sized man wearing a long-sleeved white top, dark trousers and a grey balaclava.
Chongqing police also published the registration number of the rifle the gunman stole from the sentry ?? 13161360.
Municipal police have doubled the reward to 600,000 yuan (US$87,800) for information leading to his arrest.
