3 missing in NE China bridge collapse

THREE people have been missing since a flood shattered a bridge in Shangzhi City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, last night, local authorities said today.

Around 11 pm last night, two taxis carrying four people fell into a river when flood waters destroyed the Mayihe Bridge in Shangzhi, according to the Shangzhi city government.

One person managed to swim ashore. Rescuers have been dispatched to search for the three missing people and recover the two taxis.
