3 swimmers killed when electric wire fell into pool
AN electric wire snapped and fell to a swimming pool, killing three swimmers and injuring several others in Tianjin Municipality last week, Beijing Times revealed today.
After the tragedy that happened around 3pm last Thursday, the Bohai Swimming Pool has been closed and its managers were questioned by police.
Witnesses said nearly 10 people were in the pool when the electric wire suddenly fell into the water, causing electric shocks for about 40 seconds. Investigation showed a strong wind had blown off a sunshade and torn apart the wire connected to it.
