3 teens detained for killing and robbery

THREE teenagers in Hegang, city of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, killed a coal mine worker just because they felt discontent for robbing merely 25 yuan (US$3.92) from him.

The three underage boys identified as Zhao Gang, Chen Ming and Li Xiang, attacked the 50-year-old victim surnamed Wu on his way home at 11:30pm on June 30 and robbed him after he fell into coma.

They were frustrated to get just 25 yuan from his pocket and decided to rob another man surnamed Sun, Wu's colleague, on another road, but Sun saw pickaxes in their hands and escaped.

The boys felt irritated and their anger was escalated after they returned the next morning and saw Wu taking every effort to sit up and accidentally kicking Li.

They then vent their wrath to Wu and severely beat him until two of the blood-covered pickaxes went broken and they "felt tired," China Youth Daily reported today.

The three under-educated boys have been detained and confessed to their crimes. But they neither felt fear nor regret, the paper said.
