4 held after mine explosion
FOUR people have been detained in connection with an explosion at a mine that caused 16 deaths in east China's Anhui Province on Sunday, local authorities said yesterday.
Cao Peijun, general manager of Jingxin Mining Co Ltd, his son Cao Shun, deputy general manager of the company, Li Guangquan, the company's production deputy chief, and Sun Jiancheng, deputy general manager of Dengbao Mining Company, were detained for illegally storing explosives.
