4 killed as van runs into bus stop

FOUR people were killed on Thursday when a van crashed into a bus stop in Suzhou, east China’s Jiangsu Province, local police reported yesterday.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, while two others died later in hospital. A further four people were injured in the incident, which happened about 7:15pm on Jinshan Road in the city’s Wuzhong District.
The driver of the van, who is believed to have been drunk at the time of the crash, fled the scene, but was detained yesterday, police said via Weibo.
The suspect is a 31-year-old man from the city of Xuzhou, the statement said.
