4 missing after ship sinks in south China
FOUR people remain missing after a ship sank on Sunday in waters near south China's Guangdong province, the Nanhai Rescue Bureau of the Ministry of Transport said today.
The ship, registered in the city of Qingyuan, experienced an engine room flood that caused it to sink near Zhaopo township in the city of Yangjiang around 11 pm, the bureau said.
The bureau dispatched a rescue ship around midnight to search for the ship's missing crew members.
Search and rescue efforts remain under way. A helicopter has also been dispatched to aid in the search.
