4.8-magnitude earthquake hits Xinjiang: CENC

A 4.8 MAGNITUDE earthquake hit Tacheng Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 6:59 a.m. on Sunday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 43.8 degrees north latitude and 85.1 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 13 km, according to the CENC.
