500 dates and counting for bachelor

A government worker in Henan Province who spent three years going on more than 500 blind dates is still looking for a wife.
Xu Yang, 33, shot to fame online as "the most suitable government worker to marry" with thousands of Chinese Internet users saying Xu boasts every condition for a perfect Chinese marriage - a healthy-looking body, stable income and an adorable personality.
Xu might not be the most suitable one among 180 million singles aged 20 to 26 in China (according to figures from the All China Women's Federation), but he is surely the most industrious. Since 2007, Xu has been on more than 500 dates, arranged by friends, mutual parents and neighbors. He also took part in the popular TV dating programme "Take Me Out" on Hunan Television last October. But they all ended up fruitless, reported Henan Business Daily yesterday.
The bachelor once went as far as meeting four girls at the same cafe in one day.
Although denying being picky, Xu still has three requirements for a candidate - a -prosperous career, be willing to take care of him and be good looking.
