6 Killed In Separate Explosions

AT least six people were killed and another four injured in two separate explosions yesterday.
One was at a restaurant in Jiaxing City in Zhejiang Province, the other in a residential building in Yunnan Province.
Two people died and three were injured when a fuel tank exploded in the kitchen of the restaurant.
Four people, including one buried under a collapsed ceiling, were taken to hospital but one died on the operating table, news website Zhejiang Online reported.
Staff told Voice of Zhejiang radio they smelled gas before the blast, and one of the workers had used a lighter to test whether it was gas or not. That was when the blast occurred.
In Zhennan County of Yunnan Province, four people died and one was injured. Police said dynamite piled in one of the apartments could have caused the explosion.
