SIX people were killed and four were wounded when fireworks exploded at a village recycling station in Hebei Province on Saturday, local authorities said yesterday.
The accident occurred in Qianying Village, Dongwang Township, Dingzhou, on Saturday, said a Dingzhou government spokesman.
The explosion killed two and injured seven. Three of the seven died despite medical treatment. Villagers later found one more body.
