64 held Over High-Tech Exam Scams
Police have arrested 64 people suspected of selling high-tech devices to help students cheat in the country's make-or-break college entrance exams.
In Gansu Province, police detained six suspects and confiscated 30 devices, such as receivers and ear-pieces. A cheating device set could be sold for 20,000 yuan (US$2,941) to 30,000 yuan. The suspects acquired 28,600 yuan in down-payments from 11 students.
In Fujian Province, police arrested 58 people from six crime groups and confiscated many cheating devices.
