65 foreigners sent home
China has repatriated 65 foreign nationals for illegally entering the country and working in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Police in Guangxi’s Liujiang County said yesterday they have charged three suspects in connection with smuggling foreigners into China to work at a local wood company.
The group charged “transportation fees” of up to US$1,200 per person.
Police in Guangxi have uncovered 145 illegal immigrant cases in a two-year campaign, and apprehended 233 suspects, they said in January.
