7 injured in gas blast at steamed bun shop
SEVEN people were injured in an explosion at a steamed bun shop in Beijing this morning, Beijing Firefighting Bureau said today.
The bureau said on its weibo microblog that the explosion occurred in the kitchen of Qingfeng Steamed Bun Shop in Haidian District at about 9:32am.
Wang Luyong, director of Haidian District Emergency Office said a liquefied petroleum gas can had caused the explosion. Seven people including the chefs and waiters of the shop were injured in the incident, and some facilities at the scene were also damaged.
The injured were not in a critical condition, and more details about the cause of the blast and losses would be released later, Wang said.
