8 charged for Tian’anmen attack

EIGHT people were indicted yesterday for their roles in a terrorist attack at Beijing's Tian’anmen Square in October, said prosecutors in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
The eight people were accused of organizing and leading a terror group and endangering public security. They will stand trial at the Urumqi Intermediate People’s Court.
Two people were killed when a jeep was driven into a crowd of people in the square on October 28.
