8 dead in Xinjiang knife attack

THREE men carried out a knife attack yesterday evening in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, killing five people and injuring five others, local news website (www.xjht.gov.cn) reported.
The incident occurred at around 7:20pm in a residential complex in the Pishan County. They had knives and attacked ten people. Police rushed to the scene and shot them dead, it was reported.
Five people are receiving treatment, it reported.
