8 killed in bus crash

EIGHT people were killed and more than 40 were injured yesterday when a bus carrying 52 people crashed into a barrier in Xinning County, central China’s Hunan Province, officials said. Due to heavy rain, the road surface was wet. When the driver hit his brakes, the vehicle skidded into the barrier and overturned, authorities said. All of the passengers were employees of a company in Changsha, the provincial capital, and were on their way to Langshan Mountain in Xinning County.
