8 skinny-dipping police assistants sacked

EIGHT police assistants in central China’s Henan Province were sacked after they were caught skinny dipping in a river recently.

A Netizen yesterday posted photos showing two police cars parking aside a river at the Lushan Mountain resort in Henan Province while several “police officers” took off their clothes to swim in the buff.

The local police authorities told People’s Daily today that the incident took place on August 11 and involved eight police assistant workers instead of police officers, as found by their investigation carried out yesterday evening.

The police assistants dived into the river without clothes to wash up after getting off their work shift on August 11, the local police said.

For tarnishing police’s public image, the eight workers were sacked and three of their supervising police officials were given administrative demerits, a bad record on their professional history, as punishment, said local police authorities.
