8 terrorists shot to death in attack on Xinjiang police station

POLICE shot dead eight terrorists and captured a ninth after they attacked a police station this morning in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, a local news portal reported.

Nine terrorists carrying knives and bombs attacked the public security bureau in the county of Yarkand, or Shache in Chinese, at around 6:30am. They threw the explosive devices and burned police cars, according to www.ts.cn.

No other details were released as the investigation continued.
