8-year-old raped in school dormitory

AN eight-year-old girl sleeping in a rural school dormitory with another 13 students was raped in southwest China's Yunnan Province.
The grade-three pupil at the Tuoke Primary School in Xuanwei City, was assaulted on the morning of May 12, the Yunnan Information Daily reported the girl's mother as saying.
The girl woke to feel somebody pressing on her in the dark. Her cry woke her roommates but they were to frightened to stop the attack.
The girl's mother took her to hospital where she was operated on and treated for blood loss.
The school's principal said they had no security guard because they could not afford one.
