FLOODS have left nine people dead and nine others missing in two counties near Zhouqu County of Gansu Province.
Overnight downpours yesterday triggered floods in Chengxian and Lixian in Longnan City.
More than 10,000 residents have been evacuated to safe places.
Another 3,000 people are trapped in a mining area, but not in immediate danger.
